ABOUT ABOUT

Workshop:
Since 2009 the Dead Puppet Society have been creating large scale visual theatre works for Australian and international audiences. In this bespoke workshop created specifically for Vena Cava the society's Artistic Director will give you an insight into the working methods used by the company. With a broad focus across manipulation skills, puppet construction and contemporary performance making, participants will be guided through the creation of a series of short scenes as they create impossible and yet deeply engaging characters that exploit the unique potential offered by puppets in live performance. In this workshop the boundaries between forms begin to fade as physical reality gives way to the imagination. This session will provide a unique professional development opportunity for aspiring performers, theatre makers and producers.
